I think we can all agree that celebrity beauty brands are hit or miss — and more often than not, it’s a miss. Someone who really knows what they’re doing and consistently puts out excellent products? HRH Robyn Rihanna Fenty, duh.
Fenty Skin — the skin care offshoot of Fenty Beauty — just released its first-ever face mask. Inspired by cookies ‘n cream ice cream, the pore-clearing detox mask is very aptly named Cookies N Clean. Featuring acne and pore-clearing ingredients like salicylic acid and charcoal, this mask promises to remove dirt, oil and impurities for “snatched pores.” The product is an indulgent whipped clay mask with a light-as-air texture.
I’m obsessed and trying not to think of it as an edible dessert, but it’s hard when something looks and sounds this cute.
Fenty Skin Cookies N Clean Whipped Clay Detox Face Mask with Salicylic Acid, $32
Besides the hero ingredients of salicylic acid and charcoal, the Cookies N Clean face mask features kaolin clay to shrink and clear your pores while absorbing excess oil. Meanwhile, a blend of balancing emollients like shea butter and hydrating humectants like glycerin (the best ingredient, IMO) will keep your skin nice and hydrated.
In addition to the stellar ingredient list and cute-as-hell dessert packaging, the mask is super easy to use. Fenty Skin recommends applying an even layer onto clean skin (wet or dry) before massaging it into your face. The mask will then start to turn from white to gray. Just leave it on for 10-15 minutes to reap all of those good skin-detoxing benefits.
The Cookies N Clean Whipped Detox Mask is sold on FentySkin.com and at Sephora, both online and in-store. FWIW, Sephora also offers same-day delivery if you want to get your Fenty masking on ASAP.
