Why I Love It: That reliably buttery flavor, but after a little extra time baking, it's slightly darker and a tad crispier than the original.
If you had asked me a week ago, I would have told you that Ritz crackers were already perfect just the way they are. No notes! I’ve been a fan since I was a kid, sandwiching slices of cucumber and American cheese between two Ritz crackers for an after-school snack. (Don’t knock it ‘til you try it!)
There’s always a box of Ritz crackers in my pantry for serving with homemade pimento cheese or spinach dip, and, according to my two kids, Ritz crackers are a non-negotiable, must-have topping for crumbling over a bowl of chili.
The folks at Ritz recently sent me a box of its newest limited edition flavor, Sunkissed Ritz, and I’m here to tell you that these extra toasty crackers might be even better than the original.

What Is Sunkissed Ritz?
In a world of mind-boggling celebrity collabs, flavor-blasted snacks, and pickle-flavored everything, this is one limited-edition snack release I can fully endorse. The upgrade doesn’t change any of the magic of a typical Ritz cracker. It’s the same cracker I know and love, with that reliably buttery flavor, but it’s spent a little extra time baking, and the result is slightly darker, toastier, and a tad crispier than the original.
How to Use Sunkissed Ritz
The limited edition release is timed to coincide with summer, and that’s good news for me because it means I can take these sun-kissed crackers to the pool, where they will pair perfectly with slabs of extra-sharp cheddar straight from the cooler.
In addition to topping them with a dollop of pimento cheese and a slice of pickled banana pepper, I can foresee serving these toastier Ritz crackers with deviled egg dip and million dollar dip and including them in the perfect summertime dessert, Ritz torte, and this easy, satisfying lime icebox pie.
