Rosie O'Donnell is giving an update on her weight loss journey.

On Thursday, March 20, the Emmy Award winner posted a TikTok video discussing her recent move to Ireland with her 12-year-old child Clay. In the clip, the 62-year-old shared that she’s “lost more weight” since taking Mounjaro, an FDA-approved prescription medication for people with type 2 diabetes. It's a brand name for tirzepatide — also known as Zepbound — which has been proven to be highly effective for weight loss by reducing appetite and improving how the body breaks down sugar and fat.

Mounjaro is similar to Ozempic and Wegovy — brand names for semaglutide — which work in the brain to impact satiety, and have been trending in Hollywood circles for weight loss.

“I’ve lost more weight. I am on Mounjaro for my diabetes and one of the side effects is you lose weight," she said. "But it’s also because I had a chef for over two years in Los Angeles and I don't have a chef now. It's me cooking for Clay and me.”

O'Donnell said she recently went shopping in Dublin to get new clothes that “fit better” after her weight loss.

"I'm one of those people who always had a weight issue and now that I'm a size large — instead of an XL or a XXL —  I find it shocking," she said. "I really do. I find it completely shocking."

The comedian recalled a store clerk asking her what size she wore, and she replied, "I don't really know anymore." The clerk ultimately brought her a pair of pants without an elastic waist band, which she was hesitant to try on because she hadn't worn any in "a very long time."

“They brought in some pants and I didn’t look at the size. I put them on and as we were leaving, they said what the size would be comparable to in America and I didn’t really believe them,” the View alum said with a laugh. “But I’m telling you, I feel healthier. I’m sleeping better.”

O’Donnell last shared an update on her health in January 2023 with a candid video on Instagram.

"Good morning. I'm on my way to school to drop her off, and I needed to let you know I lost 10 lbs. ... since Christmas," she said at the time. "Ten lbs., I'm very happy. Tick, tock, you don't stop." She celebrated the milestone in the caption, simply writing, "t e n !!"

In a follow-up video, O'Donnell replied to a fan who asked how she was able to lose the weight.

"About two months ago my doctor put me on — not Ozempic, Mounjaro — and Repatha," she explained. "One I do every other week and one I do once a week."

She added that with the exception of a celebratory night where she enjoyed a champagne toast, she hasn't drunk "anything except water" since Christmas.

O'Donnell opened up about more lifestyle changes she's made, noting, "I'm not eating sugar as much as I can. My appetite has decreased significantly. It's probably the meds. And I'm trying to move more. So, all those things combined, that's what it is."
