Ryan Reynolds Breaks Into the MCU With First Trailer for 'Deadpool and Wolverine'

After almost six years, Deadpool is finally back. Ryan Reynolds lands in the MCU in true R-rated fashion with the first official trailer of Deadpool and Wolverine, shown during Super Bowl LVIII.

Ryan Reynolds brings Merc With a Mouth Bac alongside Hugh Jackman's Wolverine, who fans last saw die in his 2017 sendoff film, Logan. In the official trailer, the scenes see a multiverse crossover as it shows the Time Variance Authority managers from Loki season two. They appear to kidnap Deadpool when he is celebrating his birthday and bring him into the MCU. Promising to continue to bring his R-rated jokes and breaking the fourth-wall, Deadpool calls himself the "Marvel Jesus." While Wolverine's face is kept hidden in the trailer, fans get a glimpse of him as he stands over Deadpool in his time of crisis to help him out. But it also appears that Deadpool is expected to face off against Wolverine towards the end of the trailer, leaving fans in suspense.

The third installment in the Deadpool franchise was halted due to the SAG-AFTRA strikes. It now seems to be back on track with the reveal of the film's first official trailer.
