October was kickstarted by events in support of various causes like mental health and education as Selena Gomez hosted the first Rare Impact Fund Benefit in Los Angeles, CA, where the actress raised money on behalf of her organization with the help from friend Taylor Swift. Swift’s donated concert tickets were auctioned off at the event, selling for a whopping $15,000. Days later in New York City, Ryan Reynolds was surrounded by fellow actors Glenn Close and Whoopi Goldberg who watched as the “Deadpool” actor was honored with the Robin Williams Legacy of Laughter award.
