The siblings’ book, which is illustrated by Bonnie Lui, is inspired by their childhood
It’s a family affair for a new project from Ryan Seacrest and Meredith Seacrest Leach!
In an exclusive announcement with PEOPLE, the siblings shared that they are co-authoring their debut children’s book. The Make-Believers will be published this fall by Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers.
“We are so excited to be able to release our first children’s book into the world this fall,” the siblings tell PEOPLE.
The Make-Believers, which features illustrations by Bonnie Lui, is a new take on the strength of childhood imagination, and the importance of sharing your dreams with the people in your life, per a statement shared with PEOPLE. The book was largely inspired by the Seacrest siblings’ own adventures as children.

“The idea behind The Make-Believers is so important to us, as it was inspired by our own childhood growing up just outside of Atlanta,” the siblings say. “We both wondered what life was like beyond our everyday surroundings and from a young age, we discovered that our imaginations doubled as tools to dream big and travel far.”
In their new book, the siblings will encourage kids to dream big. “We used our imaginations to envision an extraordinary life, like the ones we saw in the movies and television or in magazines and books,” they add.
The Make-Believers is not the first project the Seacrest siblings have worked on together. In 2009, the family founded the Ryan Seacrest Foundation, a nonprofit organization that installs media broadcast centers, named Seacrest Studios, in pediatric hospitals nationwide.
Seacrest Leach currently serves as the Executive Director and COO of the foundation, and Seacrest as chairman. In addition to his continued work on television, Seacrest is also set to take over as the new host of Wheel of Fortune following Pat Sajak’s retirement.
With its important message, The Make-Believers is set to make a great gift for the littlest readers in your life, according to the publisher.
“Through our foundation we get to interact with children all the time and understand the value of reading and the power of using our imaginations,” the siblings continue. “We want to help kids realize their dreams and believe in a world that is entirely their own.”
The Make-Believers will hit bookstores on Oct. 8.
