Sabrina Carpenter Put a Twist on the Butter Yellow Nails Trend — See Photo

Sabrina Carpenter loves a pastel moment, especially in her stage looks. The star often wears sweet, candy-colored minidresses to perform, but she took the butter yellow trend one step further and wore it on her nails—with her own adorable spin, of course.

The singer just shared a pic of her new manicure, a subtle base with light yellow tips in place of the traditional white French mani. Carpenter's nails are a medium length, shaped into a rounded almond and painted with a clear, glossy shade at the base; it's not a glazed nail, but it's definitely super shiny despite having zero color whatsoever. All the color is concentrated at the tips, which are a sunshine yellow and so sweet for summer. She showed them off in a cute snapshot of an adorable puppy dozing on her legs; Carpenter is wearing loose, ripped jeans and her signature “SC” ring on her middle finger.

Yellow has been one of the biggest mani trends of the year, with stars like BLACKPINK's Rosé giving it a spin. It's fun and summery without being too bright, and can easily be incorporated into nail art too; just ask Kylie Jenner, who wore fun lemon-lime tips with her garden bug mani.

The color is also having a moment in our closets, Carpenter's included. For her 25th birthday, the singer wore a Y2K slip dress purchased from Depop in a daffodil yellow shade, and a month later, she hit the stage in a buttercup yellow sequined mini.

Maybe you have a nail appointment coming up, or perhaps you're looking for a way to refresh your closet for the rest of summer. There's just one color to choose: butter yellow, baby. In this case, yellow means “go!”
