They say street style reaches a whole new tier once fall is in full swing. And as cliché as that sounds, I witnessed this first-hand when I travelled to New York last month. While this Canadian editor wore a moto jacket, a black satin fringe blouse and wide-leg jeans, the rainy, “cold” city weather brought out unpredictable, yet Insta-worthy style pairings of chunky layers, patterns and textures that brought all the outfits I packed to shame.
Luckily, while I was there, I caught up with Shopbop’s Fashion Director Caroline Maguire for some pro tips on the best trends to shop for the season.
