Salma Hayek Looks Divine in a Candid Beach Pic by Her Daughter Valentina

Valentina Pinault, daughter of Oscar-nominated actor Salma Hayek, is a budding swimwear photographer, if her mom’s latest Instagram is any indication.

Hayek, gorgeous as always, was snapped in a black bikini and sunglasses on the beach at sunset, adjusting her top in a candid moment. The Eternals star wrote in the caption, “It always helps to have a photographer in the family. 📸 Valentina Pinault.” Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue cover next? And can I book Valentina to take my Hinge pics?

Hayek shares Valentina Paloma Pinault, who is 16, with husband François-Henri Pinault, the CEO of luxury goods conglomerate Kering. And she’s clearly training Valentina in the ways of fashion and couture. In October 2023 the duo stepped out for a mother-daughter dinner date in coordinated eggplant-purple outfits. Valentina looked both classy and very Gen Z in her dress, which was actually designed by friend of the family Victoria Beckham. “We fight over clothes because she takes everything from my closet,” Hayek told Vogue Mexico in 2022. “Since she was little she never let me choose her clothes, and I always liked that…she’s very good with makeup. I’m good at makeup, but now she teaches me.”

The Dogma actor even lent her daughter a vintage gown from her past when she took Valentina as her date to the 2023 Oscars. While Salma Hayek stunned in a tight-fitting sequined gown, Valentina glammed it up in her mom’s red Isaac Mizrahi gown that Hayek wore to the Fire and Ice Ball in 1997.

In addition to vintage pieces, Hayek is also able to bestow excellent advice upon the next generation. “Dance by yourself when nobody’s watching. And don’t look at yourself in the mirror when you’re dancing. Blindfold yourself and feel you. Feel your body and feel how it interacts with space,” she advised for our February 2023 cover story. “Don’t go over your problems when you’re taking a shower, when you’re taking a bath. Feel the water. If you get a chance to go in the ocean, go to the ocean. Walk on the sand; feel the grass under your toes. Feel the sun; feel the wind. Don’t get too busy in your head that you don't see it.” Clearly, mission accomplished.
