Sarah Hyland Shares "Painful Swollen Face Selfie
Yesterday, Sarah Hyland revealed on social media that she had been hospitalized earlier in the week. Wearing a hospital gown, the actress shared a selfie for #NationalSelfieDay of her face, which was visibly swollen.
"Sometimes a selfie is more than just a good angle or feelin cute. This time for #NationalSelfieDay, I’ve decided to share my truth. As painful as it is," Sarah wrote with her photo. "So here is my face that was torn from work against my will. But I'm very grateful it was."
The Modern Family star has always been open on social media when it comes to her health, and she also added this incredibly important reminder to her post: "Health should always come first."
According to her Instagram Story, Sarah has been hospitalized since Monday. In another part posted to her story, she shared a video of her dog licking her neck just prior to her hospitalization. She added that the pup was pushing her to seek treatment. "Can't wait to come back to my precious angel princess. She's perfect and knows exactly what I need at all times."
