At the risk of sounding like the Grinch, I’m not interested in going all-out with a holiday outfit. Buying a red, sequin-covered look I’ll wear exactly once is not something I can get behind, which is why I rely on the subtly-festive hack Sarah Michelle Gellar just employed.
Gellar proved that a little sparkle goes a long way. The star wore a black blazer and matching mini skirt, neither of which screamed “wear me to your Christmas party.” But by opting for a pair of black pumps with a crystal-embellished brooch at the toe, the look became something I would easily wear to an event with a festive dress code.
