Recently, MandoeMedia, a digital signage software, compiled a list of the 50 best rooftop bars worldwide using data from Tripadvisor and Instagram. Of those, 22 were rooftop bars in the U.S.
In this report, a local Hilton Head Island hot spot at The Sea Pines Resort topped each list.
The rooftop lounge was singled out in the ranking as the best in the U.S. and as the fifth best in the world.
Ocean Lounge is a wonderful choice for anyone over 21 years old where guests have the opportunity to take in the scenic views of the Atlantic Ocean from the second floor of the Sea Pines Beach Club at the Ocean Lounge restaurant, which is open daily from 4-9 p.m.
The rooftop establishment is only open to adults 21 years old and older, where attendees may enjoy a full dinner menu from coast, oceanfront dining in an upscale dining destination admired by locals and guests for its captivating scenery and extensive bourbon list, detailed Ocean Lounge’s website.
Guests can make a selection from more than three dozen bourbons, a collection of cognacs and cordials, as well as gins, ryes, single malt scotches, blended scotches, whiskeys, tequilas and mescals.
“Needless to say, we are elated that our rooftop bar here at The Sea Pines Resort is tops in the country,” said Polina Campbell, general manager at Sea Pines Beach Club in a release. “What makes that global ranking even more meaningful is the report allowed our guests — visitors and locals alike — to have the ultimate say.”
Last year, Ocean Lounge was the site of more than 25 marriage proposals on the rooftop patio and boasts a world-class collection of more than 200 total spirits. Most of the bottles are displayed within the interior bar and display cases for guests to conveniently view, detailed the release.
