Copenhagen's fashionable status is on the rise and it's not without merit. With that in mind, the Danish fashion market is one that's continually growing and expanding to offer new and emerging beauty, fashion and lifestyle brands for us to discover. That's where the Copenhagen International Fashion Fair comes in, a bi-annual trade fair that showcases the best of the best in terms of rising brands, and helps its attendees discover what's worth investing in for the season ahead.

Swedish hosiery label Swedish Stockings was born from the learning that most traditional pantyhose are crafted with petroleum, and as a result, has a desire to promote more sustainable design processes. With pantyhose being one of the most consumed garments within womenswear, the brand hopes to instil more responsible practises while still creating luxury, fashion-forward products.

Organic Basics

With Danish brand Organic Basics, its ethos is pretty much in its name. Designed in Copenhagen, the brand's comfort-oriented pieces are made to be both "earth and people-friendly," with a distinct focus on sustainable design. Creating pieces for all bodies, the brand prides itself on making good quality basics that stand the test of time.

Swedish label Dr. Denim focuses on creating youthful denim silhouettes created with a timeless approach. The brand is of the mind that use of the word sustainability has hit its peak over the years, and that focusing on volume of product is what will make the biggest impact. Contemporary fashion label GESTUZ was founded back in 2008, inspired by the vintage aesthetic of the founder's own wardrobe. Rooted in Scandinavian design heritage, the womenswear label looks to gently "disrupt" classic silhouettes, while operating with a responsible design process that aims to use majority certified and documented materials. GESTUZ also recently launched a resell platform, to encourage wearers of the brand to reduce and reuse.

Won Hundred

Won Hundred is a Copenhagen-based fashion label founded in 2004 by Nikolaj Nielsen. Offering a range of both menswear and womenswear styles, the brand prioritizes wearability and affordable pricing, whilst ensuring to follow responsible design principles and utilizing organic cotton.
