Scared Stray Dog Approaches Kind Stranger for Help After a Car Hits Her Puppy
A good Samaritan responded to the dog's pleas and took the canine's puppy to the vet
A worried canine mom put her trust in a kind human when her puppy's life was in danger.
In a video shared with Caters News, Izabelle Abrencillo recounts how she met the concerned dog mom in the Philippines and what happened next.
The clip, captioned "Mama dog who avoids any human contact faced her fear to save her baby," starts with the mom dog standing over her small puppy, who is lying on the pavement.
In the video, Abrencillo explains that she has been trying to build trust with the mother dog for months, but the canine has mostly avoided her attempts to get close. But after a car hit one of the mother dog's puppies, the dog approached Abrencillo for help and let the woman handle her baby.

Since this was "the closest" the mother dog had "gotten to any human interaction," Abrencillo knew the situation was serious, so she took the injured puppy to an animal hospital for assistance.
Thankfully, the puppy had no serious injuries or broken bones. The vets did find some internal bleeding, so the puppy was kept for several days for observation to ensure a more serious health issue didn't develop.

Abrencillo is one of many animal lovers willing to put in extra work to keep innocent pets safe. In January, Lane Bounds of Laurel, Mississippi, shared on TikTok how she spent days working to rescue an abandoned dog after spotting the pup alone in the parking lot outside her gym.
Bounds managed to gain the dog's trust and brought her to the vet. There, she discovered that the dog had former owners who weren't interested in reuniting with her, so Bounds decided to make the pooch her forever pet.
"Lucy learned life could be good again," Bounds shared on social media.
