There Will Be a Second 9-Month Cruise! Royal Caribbean CEO Reveals News Days After 'Ultimate' Voyage's End
Royal Caribbean CEO Michael Bayley confirmed that the official announcement will be made during a 2025 reunion sailing in for the passengers of the first Ultimate World Cruise
The Ultimate World Cruise is officially coming back for round two!
In a TikTok shared by Ultimate World Cruise passenger @brooklyntravelstheworld, Royal Caribbean International President and CEO Michael Bayley confirms that another nine-month cruise is in the works at what appears to be a homecoming event for passengers of the first epic nine-month sailing.
“The answer is, yes we are going to do another Ultimate World Cruise,” Bayley says in the clip as the crowd cheers. "The next part of the question is, well, when the hell is that Ultimate World Cruise? Tuesday,” he joked.
Bayley continued, “We’re not entirely sure. We’re still working our way through it, but we’re announcing today that we are going to hold an Ultimate World Cruise reunion cruise. And when we have the reunion cruise, we are going to announce the next World Cruise.”
Bayley notes that for the first 24 hours after the second Ultimate World Cruise is announced, it will only be open to bookings from "those people who are on the reunion cruise,” so the original world cruise passengers get first dibs on “the best rooms.”
It is also revealed that the reunion cruise will be held in Alaska on Sept. 7, 2025. The Serenade of the Seas will welcome Ultimate World Cruisers back for the seven-night reunion sailing.
Ultimate World Cruiser Brandee Lake also shared news of the reunion on her TikTok account, which features a clip of Bayley speaking about it on stage.
“So, Royal Caribbean knew we’d need a little pick-me-up before this cruise ends,” she writes in the caption. “**Reunion Cruise 2025** is officially happening next September! I'm already counting down the days till we’re back on the ship, soaking up those ocean views, and making even more memories. Let’s make round two even better!”

While there were about 650 passengers who stayed for the entire 274-night sailing, there were also cruisers who came in and out with every leg.
The cruise consisted of four segments — the Ultimate Americas Cruise, the Ultimate Asia Pacific Cruise, the Ultimate Africa and Southern Europe Cruise, and the Ultimate Europe and Beyond Cruise, per its official website. Rates ranged from $59,999 per person for an interior stateroom up to $117,599 for a junior suite, per the website.
At this time, it is unclear if the itinerary will be the same or if it will change for the second Ultimate World Cruise.
