Selena Gomez hit the 2024 Emmys in gorgeous crystal-encrusted halter gown
Selena Gomez was finally nominated for an acting Emmy Award for her work on Only Murders in the Building (it’s been a looooong time coming!) and she arrived on the red carpet looking jaw-dropping in a black custom Ralph Lauren gown with a crystal-encrusted halter neck. And naturally, she paired the look with some Tiffany & Co diamond earrings (for good measure).
Selena was nominated in the Best Actress in a Comedy Series category for Only Murders in the Building alongside Quinta Brunson for Abbott Elementary, Ayo Edebiri for The Bear, Maya Rudolph for Loot, Jean Smart for Hacks, and Kristen Wiig for Palm Royale.
Per Deadline Selena has become "the most Emmy-nominated Latina producer nominated under the Best Comedy Series category" thanks to her work on Only Murders, which is a huge deal!
She previously spoke to Rolling Stone about focusing on acting at this point in her career (reminder: she also has Emilia Pérez coming up), saying, "I think it’s natural for people to take breaks, but I think for me, there is a whole other aspect to my life, pride, and joy. I love film. I love TV. I just feel like I haven’t done a lot of the things that I want to do in that space.
"It’s not that it’s ‘no, never’ [to music], it’s more that I would like to explore that world a bit more and have the time to actually do that. [In the acting world], I love being able to take roles that I have to fight for, not the ones that are being handed to me. I’m going for the stuff that really, really inspires me."
