Selena Gomez is known for her impeccable taste in manis, and her latest nail color is not only trending, but a drugstore favorite. While promoting her new album, I Said I Love You First, in New York City with fiancé Benny Blanco, Gomez wore a cherry-coded look by celebrity manicurist Tom Bachik.

Bachik is the mastermind behind some of Gomez’s most popular nail looks. Over the past few months, she’s worn everything from peach champagne to lavender milk, but to celebrate her romantic album, Bachik and Gomez opted for a fiery red shade from Gel by Essie in Rock the Runway. Described by Essie as a “fierce scarlet,” the cherry-coded color costs only $13 and was worn during her appearance on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon and for date night with Blanco after. After experimenting with ballerina nails (also known as coffin nails), Gomez reverted back to her signature long almond shape.

To complete the look, Gomez wore a classic little black dress with sheer tights, pumps, and glittering earrings, and styled her Old Hollywood bob with a bouncy blowout. Of course, she had her marquise diamond ring on full display during the appearance, where she and Blanco detailed her reaction to his proposal.

According to the brand, Bachik applied Rock the Runway followed by the Gel by Essie Top Coat for extra gloss and shine. On Instagram, Bachik also revealed that he used his own Tweezerman x Tom Bachik Ultimate Nail Care Set to prep the nails.
