If there's one brand that nails the combination of the Y2K aesthetic with the naked dressing trend to create clothing that is *truly* of this moment, it has to be Fancì Club. Despite its long list of celebrity fans that includes the likes of Hailey Bieber, Maya Jama, Olivia Rodrigo, Doja Cat, and Rosalía, the Vietnam-based brand is only just now breaking the mainstream.

Founded by Duy Tran in 2018 after dropping out of fashion school, the now 24-year-old designer started out by selling second-hand clothing on Depop before going on to upcycle existing pieces and create his own designs from deadstock fabrics. In 2021, he released his first collection consisting of ultrafeminine designs – think butt-baring dresses, floaty sheer skirts, and bow-adorned corsets.

But there's one standout style celebs and fashion girlies alike just can't get enough of. The brand's cult ruffle dresses.

Ruffles are a key detail of many Fancì Club designs – just take a look at Doja Cat's custom see-through ruffled skirt. And after sporting one of the brand's ruffle dresses in a TikTok video, Hailey Bieber then wore a custom two-piece for the Rhode launch party last June, with her mini skirt featuring a corsage and ruffle hip embellishment.

Model and former Victoria's Secret Angel Elsa Hosk has also joined the club, wearing a neon pink version complete with asymmetric ruffled hem. As has Maya Jama, whose Garden of Eden dress completely sold out in the orange colourway after she debuted it on Love Island back in March.

Despite all these celeb appearances, Fancì Club's new-found notoriety is all thanks to TikTok with the ruffle dress quickly going viral. "The Fancì Club" has 34.1 million searches on the app, while "Fancì Club dress" has 431.1 million.

And while the popularity may seem like a good thing to most businesses, Fancì Club still make all of their items from deadstock material and as such is experiencing delays due to the extremely high demand of orders.

If you're happy to patiently wait and spend upwards of £230, you can shop all of Fancì Club's designs exclusively on the brand's website. There are limited items available on SSENSE though, and we've also rounded up plenty of ruffled dresses, tops, and skirts available to shop on the high street to get the Fancì Club for less – and like, now.
