It's among the best formulas I've found.

Stellar skin tints exist. Despite the beautiful, barely there finish they can create, though, they’re often cumbersome. Inevitably, I find myself slapping the stuff on twice per day — once in the morning, before work, and again post-work, as skin tints all but seem to disappear come midday. Ergo, I’ve felt compelled to choose between heavier foundation formulas and breezy, minimalist tints that look lovely — until they peter out.

In short: Coverage that’s both long-lasting and imperceptible — in the clean-girl vibe kind of way — has, for me, seemed somewhat of a unicorn. It wasn’t until I unearthed the Maybelline Superstay Skin Tint from the depths of Amazon’s foundation offerings recently that I felt I’d struck solid skin-tint gold. Better yet? The uber-lightweight, long-haul formula — which is accompanied by glowing shopper reviews — is on sale ahead of Amazon Prime Big Deal Days.

The Maybelline SuperStay Skin Tint is a natural-looking, barely-there complexion perfector. Surprisingly long-lasting — despite its sheerness and featherlight feel — it’s a gem among other skin-tints on the market, many of which seem to wear off after a few hours. Moreover, Maybelline’s tint is spiked with skincare ingredients; chief among them is vitamin C — a dermatologist-loved antioxidant that can transform an uneven, hyperpigmentation-speckled complexion into a brighter, more even version. Given its antioxidant properties, vitamin C also provides protection against skin-aging free radicals.

Dispensed via a dropper-style applicator, Maybelline’s liquid foundation flows freely and “melts” into skin, shoppers say, where it creates a truly traceless finish. A drop or two provides ultra-light coverage; an additional drop delivers a bit of opaqueness and blends beautifully. Regardless of how much is applied, however, the tint, available in 17 shades, resists caking, looking makeup-y, or settling into lines come midday. Instead, Maybelline’s serum-like tint remains radiant, luminous, and even-toned for a finish that suggests ultra-healthy skin — for up to 24 hours, per the brand. Furthermore, the formula “resists sweat, humidity and fading,” and shopper reviews corroborate these claims.

For instance, one 50-year-old reviewer, who works 12-hour, often sweaty shifts, swears it stays put for at least 18 hours. “The results are almost airbrushed,” the shopper adds, noting that the foundation “still looks great” when they finally return home after a long day; “I wouldn’t be afraid to go meet friends directly from work.” Another shopper says it makes their “skin look glowy but not greasy.” Moreover, they add, “it doesn’t emphasize [their] lines.” A testament to the natural finish: “You can’t tell I’m wearing foundation at all…[it] just look[s] like I have amazing skin.”

Similarly, another reviewer reports a “flawless and radiant” finish. Plus, they say, it “doesn’t oxidize or settle in lines.” Finally, says another reviewer, it’s “extremely lightweight” and “truly feels like [they] have nothing on.” The only aspects they do notice? A “subtle glow” and a formula that’s “buildable without getting cakey.” Honestly, I can hardly think of anything else I’d want in a face tint.
