Sienna Miller’s daughter Marlowe Sturridge makes her red-carpet debut at Cannes
It was a family affair for Sienna Miller this weekend as she attended the Cannes Film Festival premiere of her new film, Horizon: An American Saga alongside both her boyfriend, Oli Green, and her 11-year-old daughter, Marlowe Sturridge.
As a friend of the fashion house, it was no surprise that 42-year-old Miller wore a diaphanous lilac gown by Chloé, featuring cape, train and frill detail. In February, Miller sat front row at the first show for new creative director, Chemena Kamali, whose vision for the fashion house returns it to its Seventies boho era – a style synonymous with the actress.
Meanwhile, her daughter wore the £180 Florette dress by childrenswear brand, Jessie and James London. The sweet style is a white mini shift dress featuring a pale pink oversized 3D flower that drapes into a peplum on the front, which also comes in white and blue. She wore it with black strappy sandals and kept her hair loose.
The occasion marks the first time that Marlowe, Miller’s daughter with her ex-boyfriend Tom Sturridge, has walked the red carpet. The former couple have always been at pains to keep their daughter out of the spotlight, with very few photographs taken of her. Another rare occasion on which she was out in public was in February of last year, when she attended the New York Fashion Week show of Proenza Schouler alongside her mother.
In August last year, it was revealed that Miller and Green were expecting their first child, after two years of dating. In January, the actress was photographed with her newborn daughter strapped to her tummy, in one of Artipoppe’s Zeitgeist carriers. It comes as no surprise that the new parents have kept their newborn’s name a secret, choosing instead to raise her out of the public eye, much like Miller did her older sibling.
