Silvia Tcherassi Goes Back to Her Roots for Pre-fall 2025

Silvia Tcherassi has been in tune with her loyal customer base since establishing the brand in the late ‘80s, and her pre-fall collection was anchored in that foundation.

Tcherassi went back to her roots for pre-fall 2025, sticking with her traditional feminine aesthetic and focusing on solids while elevating them through fabrics and subtle details.

Like most of Tcherassi’s collections, pre-fall took inspiration from art and nature. Sofia Tcherassi, the brand’s director of ready-to-wear, explained the designer specifically looked at the artwork of Georgia O’Keeffe as her starting point.

“I think the brand, when it started off, it was very much into prints,” she said. “The prints are still there, but we’re focusing on those very crucial solids.”

The emphasis on solid-colored styles gave the collection a “quiet luxury” feel and let the silhouettes and construction shine through. Tcherassi leveraged her popular knot dress silhouette for several styles, and gave it an edgy update on a white, long-sleeve dress with a scrunched, asymmetric neckline and subtle cutout detail.

Despite the lack of prints, the solid-colored styles were given an eye-catching factor through metal and resin embellishments that didn’t overpower the overall look. Sofia Tcherassi explained the brand is sticking with a more elevated feel after receiving positive feedback from customers of its new Bal Harbour location.

While solids were the focus, Tcherassi sprinkled in some prints in a tasteful way. She continued her strength in craft with styles like a lace-embroidered denim dress and included two polka dot prints to offer range for the customer.

Overall, Tcherassi’s collection showed her understanding of her customer base looking for ultra-feminine and luxurious styles and how to continuously modernize tried-and-true design codes.
