SJP just wore the most Carrie Bradshaw outfit ever at the New York City ballet
I'm not sure about all of you, but I've certainly been in mourning since And Just Like That season two came to a close a couple of months ago. No more amazingly OTT Seema moments, silver fox Aidan appearances, super glam Lisa Todd Wexley 'fits, or epic fashion courtesy of the one and only Carrie Bradshaw. And don't even get me started on *that* iconic iconic Kim Cattrall finale appearance finale appearance... Quite frankly, life just hasn't been the same since – and my style inspo bank is running dangerously low.
So thank goodness that Sarah Jessica Parker's on-screen character seems to have made her way into her red carpet style IRL. Attending the New York City Ballet's 2023 Fall Fashion Gala, SJP went full Carrie Bradshaw with her look – giving us all the Sex & The City vibes we've been so sorely missing.
Doesn't she look utterly fabulous? While Carrie herself would be unlikely to rock a full-black look, instead favouring clashing bright prints and quirky statement accessories, SJP brought the spirit of the character to her outfit in a number of ways. First up, *that* gorge Caroline Herrera ballerina tutu – a nod to the event she's attending, the current Balletcore trend, and of course, Carrie's iconic SATC opening credits ensemble.
Then, there's the addition of an XXL hair bow, reminiscent of Carrie Bradshaw's penchant for a statement headpiece (who could forget the literal bird on her head for her ill-fated wedding!??!). And last but not least, SJP's mismatched shoes – a classic Carrie move. Who remembers the "Escape From New York" episode in season three, when Carrie rocks two different-coloured Christian Louboutins shoes? Exactly.
Until we start receiving news of the next instalment of AJLT, we implore SJP to keep the Carrie-inspired looks coming.
