Skool days: A new vintage clothing shop to open in this popular Columbia retail district

Skool will be in session in Columbia later this summer.

Old Skool Outfitter, a vintage clothing shop that currently has a location in Greenville, will open a new store at 929-C Gervais St. That’s in the heart of the Vista retail and hospitality district. The vintage clothier will be next door to the No Grease barber shop and two doors down from the 929 Kitchen and Bar Korean restaurant.

“Prep work for the store is in motion!,” Old Skool Outfitter Columbia posted on Instagram this past weekend. “Thanks to all of you who made this possible!! We are so excited to introduce the space on Saturday, August 24th.”

There is a banner hanging in the window at 929-C Gervais announcing that the shop is coming soon. There is also a banner in the window that says the business is hiring. The signs also note that Old Skool will be setting up shop at the popular Soda City Market on Saturdays.

The Greenville location of Old Skool Outfitter is located at 123-B S. Main St. The company offers, as you would imagine, a host of vintage clothing, including jackets, jeans, T-shirts and more.

“We’re using the best of yesterday to bring people together for new laughs and new experiences; taking stories and legacies with us into the next generation,” the company says on its website.
