Sofía Vergara Gives a Candid Interview About Divorcing Joe Manganiello
Sofía Vergara opened up about her divorce from Joe Manganiello saying that when living life in the public, "you can’t hide those things."
Speaking to CBS (via Page Six), Sofía said "I’ve been moving on. You’re out there and people know that’s part of being a celebrity. I knew it was gonna happen. You can’t hide those things.”
She also spoke about the media coverage of the split, saying “It wasn’t bad. I think, you know, I have to say the press was very respectful and very nice. And I thought that they were gonna invent more things, and you know how it usually is. I was surprised and, you know, they, they kind of just said what it was and, and that was it."
Sofía and Joe announced their divorce back in July 2023. “We have made the difficult decision to divorce," a source told Page Six "As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect of our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives.”
A source also told the outlet that “Sofía and Joe have been growing apart for a while now and are taking some distance from each other to contemplate their future.”
These days, both Joe and Sofía have moved on. He's dating actor Caitlin O’Connor (they went red carpet official last month), while she's dating surgeon Justin Saliman. “Sofía is falling for Justin the more she spends time with him,” a source recently told Us Weekly. “They have amazing chemistry, and her friends think they make a wonderful couple.”
