Solid Homme Men’s Fall 2024
Woo Young Mi eschewed the runway format this season, instead giving onlookers a more intimate close-up of the clever, subtle yet quirky details that characterize her designs for Solid Homme and explain its growing fanbase.
At the Cirque d’Hiver, her guests mingled at a bus-stop brought in for the occasion, the “Solid” signage suggesting they had reached a destination for a perfect view of models kitted out in the South Korean designer’s vision of urban mobility, her theme for the season.

There were references taken directly from the cyclist’s repertoire — vivid shirts in technical fabrics, stamped with the message “Beat Traffic-Explore-Zero Emission,” padded shorts and visored helmets, for instance — and thick ribbed leggings in vibrant hues. Raincoats and puffer jackets were practical and stylish in equal measure. In a shimmering green technical fabric, a voluminous number was cinched at the back, accentuating the shoulders — and with plenty of room for a backpack beneath. It had not just one hood but two, one featuring a black visor and worn close to the head, the other hanging loose around the neck.
Equally practical but in a more elevated register, there were padded wool or leather coats and jackets aplenty, all with the designer’s signature twists, as well as some innovative denim treatments to boot.
