We all have a list of favorite drive-thru items, like Nacho Fries from Taco Bell or McDonald’s Spicy Chicken McNuggets. Chances are, if you pull into any fast food restaurant, whether that's Burger King or Wendy’s, everyone in your car will have a standard, go-to order they are eager to get their hands on.

When it comes to Sonic Drive-In, fans rave about everything from the chain’s extensive drink menu to its popular tater tots and even its bags of ice. And now, Sonic is challenging fans to branch out a bit in 2025, starting the new year with a few new menu items.

Sonic's New Late Winter Menu

Sonic's late winter menu includes a brand-new burger and two new drinks, which can be ordered either at a Sonic Drive-In or through the Sonic app.

The new Bacon Deluxe Double Sonic Smasher features a hand-smashed, made-to-order burger made up of two Angus beef patties layered with American cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, dried onion, pickles, and a creamy Smasher Sauce, served on a potato bun. For those who want more bite to their burgers, this new item is also available as a Triple Smasher, meaning there's an extra beef patty on the stack.

In addition to the burger, Sonic is dropping an app-exclusive beverage to its Flavourista Favorites drink line: the Strawberry Fusion Fizz. This new sip combines sparkling water with an infusion of raspberry, peach, real strawberries, and a squeeze of lemon so that you can kick off the new year feeling refreshed.

And if you need some recharging after all the holidays, Sonic has a new Sour Dragon Fruit Recharger that's made with Red Bull, lemon-lime soda, lemon, sweet grape, and dragon fruit that’s sure to put some pep in your step.

Sonic’s winter 2025 menu items will be available for a limited time, while supplies last, at participating Sonic restaurants nationwide.
