Sophie, Countess of Wessex, Is Lovely In A White Dress During Bahamas Visit

Sophie, Countess of Wessex, made a visit to the Bahamas this week with her husband, Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex.

Buckingham Palace announced the news, saying that the pair saw the work of the Governor General’s Youth Award (GGYA). They also shared a photo of the royals at the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award ceremony, founded by the late Prince Philip. For the occasion, Sophie wore a breezy white dress featuring a sharp collar, short sleeves, and a built-in belt. The button-up piece was semi-sheer and included a pretty pleated skirt that went down to the royal’s ankles. She accessorized simply with diamond stud earrings and a white beaded bracelet. Her makeup was natural, and she wore her hair down in airy waves.

Edward looked elegant in a black double-breasted suit, crisp white dress shirt, and navy tie.

Sophie and Edward’s stop in the Bahamas wraps up their five-day island tour to support their patronages. The two also visited the Cayman Islands and Turks and Caicos.

Their Cayman Islands visit focused on learning about and discussing sustainability and climate issues, per the palace. Also, as patron of the Central Caribbean Marine Institute, the earl visited the Coral Nursery on Little Cayman. Meanwhile, as global ambassador for 100 Women in Finance, the countess joined a panel discussion on empowering women in the workplace.
