'Station 19' Fans Say the Show "Deserves More" After Seeing the Season 7 Trailer
Just two months after news broke that ABC axed Station 19 after seven years on the air, fans have gotten a first look at what to expect for the finale season, which premieres on March 14.
The network released a teaser on YouTube on January 31, and it already dropped a bombshell involving Andrea "Andy" Herrera (Jaina Lee Ortiz) becoming the new captain of Station 19. We also see Jack Gibson (Grey Damon) collapse for undisclosed reasons, new romances on the horizon and plenty of rescue missions — the plot is certainly blazing as they round out the final episodes.
"Feel the heat of #Station19 ❤️🔥," the caption read. "Watch the teaser trailer now, and don’t miss the final season premiere, March 14 on ABC. Stream on Hulu!"
Although fans were ecstatic to see an update about Station 19 season 7, many were devastated that the show wouldn't come back for another season. What's more, they went to the comments section of the post to vent.
"This show deserves more!" one person said. "I need more than one season of my heroes!!" another declared. "Please don't let this be the end of #Station19 this show and its characters [are] too good to lose ❤️❤️," a different follower added. "Station 19 what a great show! Deserves more seasons, for sure," someone else wrote.
Fans may know, Station 19 is one of two shows ABC decided to cancel during the 2023-2024 season, alongside the long-running series The Good Doctor.
Despite the drama getting cancelled, Station 19 is still getting recognized for the work they do on television. Ahead of the season 7 promo dropping, the show announced it was nominated for Outstanding Drama Series at the 2024 GLAAD Media Awards.
"Grateful for this team, these stories, and this nomination for the #GLAADawards! 🌈," the show's social team wrote on Instagram on January 17.
