The Fiona Beaded Bag
For about a year, I’ve been crushing hard on Staud’s Tommy Beaded Bags. But since most styles have a $300 price tag, I haven’t been able to rationalize the splurge.
Still, I couldn’t stop thinking about the unique beading and how it’d make the perfect going-out bag, so when I saw a similar design on Anthropologie’s website for a fraction of the price, I bought it immediately.
The Fiona Beaded Bag is my current obsession (and fashion pot of gold) for a few reasons. Not only is it an affordable alternative to Staud’s popular style, but it’s well-made, comes in a bunch of patterns and is less than $90.
Plus, this shoulder bag holds way more than you think. When I first bought it, I assumed I’d only be able to toss in my ID, credit card and lip gloss. But I was pleasantly surprised that it holds my entire cardholder, keys, iPhone and two lip glosses with room to spare. Each Fiona design is covered in glass beads and has a snap closure to keep your things safe.
Anthropologie perfectly describes the petite bag: “Luxe, eye-catching, and under-the-arm tuckable, the Fiona is that special piece that spruces up every outfit while miraculously working as an essential.” It’s the perfect addition to any look, and every time I’ve worn it out since bringing it home, I’ve been complimented or asked if it’s designer.
While I love my classic crossbody bags and leather totes, the Fiona is totally unique and feels like a real statement piece without being a major investment piece. Basically, I’m already planning to buy another.
You can shop the Fiona in several patterns — all for under $100 — at Anthropologie.
