I stayed in a 3-bedroom suite at Trump's Ireland hotel that costs over $1,300 a night. It felt straight out of a fairytale.
My family and I visited the Trump International Hotel in Doonbeg, Ireland, for my cousin's wedding.
The authentic Irish setting, amazing service, and high-end feel of our stay was impeccable.
I thought the experience was worth every penny.
In late 2023, I visited Ireland for the first time to attend my cousin's wedding. While there, we had one of our best hotel experiences yet.
We stayed at the Trump International Hotel in Doonbeg, Ireland, where I paid 765 euros, or about $840, a night for a two-bedroom ocean-view suite.
I thought it'd be the most comfortable option to accommodate me, my partner, my mother, and my daughter.
Although we paid for a two-bedroom suite, we were upgraded to a three-bedroom suite, which would've cost about 1,250 euros, or $1,360, a night.
Notably, prices vary by time of year and availability and seem to have slightly increased since my stay.
Here's what staying at this Trump International Hotel was like.
The drive to the hotel took my breath away.
The hotel is along Ireland's southwest coast, near Bunratty Castle and Doolin Cave.
The entire area is surrounded by rolling green hills, so our journey to the hotel had idyllic views.
The hotel had a high-end modern-cottage feel.
There was beauty all around, with charming cottage decor, ocean accents, and a fireplace.
We were upgraded to a three-bedroom suite at check-in.
I was pleasantly surprised to learn that we'd be staying in a three-bedroom suite instead of a two-bedroom.
Even better, every single window in our suite had a nearly panoramic view of the ocean.
The rooms in our suite had so many thoughtful touches.
Each room in our suite felt very spacious and had its own controlled temperature.
There were walk-in closets in every room.
The closets had thick robes, slippers, and a security box.
I was glad to see plenty of space to store the clothes I brought.
No stone was left unturned when it came to amenities.
The washrooms featured heated flooring and waterfall showers with luxe soaps.
My bathroom even had a walk-in shower with a glass door.
Walking around the premises felt like a daydream.
My family enjoyed exploring the grounds during our stay and came across lots of greenery, beautiful stone buildings, and cozy seating areas.
There was lots to do in the area, and my group especially enjoyed walking along the beach.
The waterfront hotel is by Doughmore Bay Beach.
The hotel was surrounded by pathways, and we entertained ourselves by walking along the beach during our stay.
The nearby attractions were breathtaking.
The Cliffs of Moher were only a 30-minute drive from the hotel. They were just as beautiful as I'd imagined they'd be.
The extra care and consideration of the hotel staff made us feel at home.
The hotel staff were extremely hospitable and thoughtful, which we really appreciated.
When my daughter got sick, a staff member drove my partner to the pharmacy and offered to clean our rental vehicle and car seat.
Our family was also gifted branded sunglasses and playing cards to use during our trip.
Rain or shine, the team here had us covered.
We could also take advantage of the property's complimentary shuttles, which take guests around the premises and to nearby destinations.
Breakfast was included with our stay.
There were many beverage options to choose from during our stay, from cocktails and juice shots.
We also found the food offerings to be pretty thorough. The breakfast menu alone offered choices such as eggs benedict, salmon, avocado toast, cereal, and cocktails.
Even though we were in Ireland, we found American cuisine on the property,
My family missed some American cuisine during our trip, so we turned to the dining services at the hotel.
Funny enough, the hotel was the only place we visited in Ireland that had ranch dressing — an American favorite.
The grounds were a beautiful venue for a September wedding.
The property had gorgeous views of lush, rolling green hills and the Atlantic Ocean.
Overall, we had a lovely stay at the Trump International Hotel.
The Trump International Hotel's luxurious amenities and welcoming staff made our stay extremely comfortable.
Our experience was worth every euro.
