New steakhouse opens in Concord, offering a local spot for ribeye, seafood and more
There’s a new steakhouse in Concord on the Gibson Mill campus, and it’s locally owned — setting it apart from its competitors elsewhere in town.
Beef & Brine Steakhouse Tavern is coming to you from the owner behind Village Corner in Concord, a restaurant known for its breakfast and lunch fare. Owner Ryan Bybee’s Scratch Made Hospitality Group also owns Barcos in Oriental and Christine’s Wood Fire in Albermarle.
“The goal with it was to just create a casual, comfortable and non-pretentious kind of place — just family driven,” Bybee told CharlotteFive about Beef & Brine.
He said he’s aiming for “a price point that’s fair, that can make it a place for a destination to celebrate life’s events, or also just Tuesday night dinner.”
All the steaks at Beef & Brine are hand cut, with sirloins, NY strips, ribeyes and a Porterhouse on the menu.
Dinners come with two sides, and there’s more than just steak to choose from. Among the other selections are an 8-ounce mesquite pork chop ($26), pan-seared wild caught Atlantic salmon ($24) and house-made crab cakes ($26). A kids’ menu is available, too, along with lunch on Sunday.
There’s a full bar, so you can pair your meal with a dirty martini with blue cheese olives, an old fashioned or a bottle of wine.
Tuesday through Saturday, there’s a Happy Hour with half-priced appetizers and trays such as burgers, chicken sandwiches, crab cake sandwiches and chicken tenders.
Additional weekday specials include:
Tuesday: half-price wine bottles
Wednesday: $4.50 well mixers
Thursday: half-price drafts
Friday: $3.50 beer bottles
“We’re excited to kind of find something that in Concord was sort of missing,” Bybee said.
