I never thought I’d be the person that swears by an $86 moisturizer, but hear me out.

For most of my adult life I’ve struggled with problem skin that I hid beneath layers of foundation. I’ve tried pretty much everything on the market (and have spent far more money that I care to think about) but I had never found a product that gave me the deep hydration my skin needed without the greasiness that my acne didn’t need.

Enter Sunday Riley’s Tidal Brightening Water Cream. I was at Sephora picking up the latest goodies from Fenty and was chatting with a lovely associate who gave me a sample of the pricey moisturizer, promising that I would love it.

She was so, so right. This moisturizer is like a drug that my skin craves. It thoroughly hydrates my skin (even the gross flakey acne parts) and absorbs so thoroughly that there is no greasy residue after application.

As a pleasant bonus, after using for about two weeks, I could see brightening on some of the hyperpigmentation on my face left by acne spots.

Since it is expensive, I always wait for a sale at Sephora, which luckily, is happening right now! If you’re a Rouge or VIB member, everything on the site is between 15-20 per cent off with the promo code SUMMERSAVE.

It turns out I’m not the only one who is obsessed with this product.

“I’ve been searching for a cream without a greasy/heavy feel that would bring my dry skin relief and Tidal has impressed me!” said one happy customer. “I love how refreshed and moisturized my skin feels after using this, and the feeling lasts all day! My holy grail cream.”

This moisturizer always sets my face back to normal, no matter what is going on with it,” said another. “It keeps my skin clear and gently exfoliated, and hydrated. I couldn't live without this cream.”

If you’re not ready to take the plunge on the full size, the product also comes in a cute mini size at the more affordable price point of $29.
