Sunny Hostin is in recovery after a rollerskating accident left her with a broken hand.

On Thursday, The View co-host, 55, shared in an Instagram video, posted jointly to her account and the talk show's account, that she slipped while taking a Zoom rollerskating class with some friends.

"I've been a little embarrassed to share this story, but I will tell you what happened," she said in the video, sitting in an office chair.

"I was taking a virtual, by Zoom, indoor skating class in my home on hardwood floors with a group of friends in other places," she continued. "I got my skates from the attic and put them on, and I was not wearing padding, as was suggested by my husband, and I fell."

"As the adage goes, you play silly games and you win silly prizes," she joked. "And this is my silly prize."

Hostin went on to joke that "one of the upsides" is that she got some big-name celebrities to sign her cast — including former adult star and new Stormy documentary subject Stormy Daniels and supermodel Gisele Bündchen.

"It's history," she joked once more. "My prize is historical, so that's the upside."

Hostin revealed that she will have the cast on for about four weeks, although she "tried to get away with an air cast for two weeks" — a type of cast that allows more air to flow freely around an injured body part, rather than a traditional skin-tight plaster or fiberglass cast.

"But apparently, I am a non-compliant patient, and I didn't have it on 24/7," she said, finishing the clip. "And now the result is a fiberglass cast."

Hostin and her husband, Emmanuel "Manny" Hostin, have been married for over 20 years, tying the knot in 1998 two years after meeting. The pair share son Gabriel, 21, and daughter Paloma, 17.

Just a few months ago, the talk show co-host revealed that she had sustained another exercise-related injury — that time, it was a torn hamstring from doing the splits.

During an October 2023 episode, Hostin told the story of how she had one too many glasses of wine and attempted to the splits — before she heard an "audible crinkling sound," per Entertainment Weekly.

"I'm feeling good. I still feel like I'm in pretty good shape, I feel like I've got good knees, I can still do splits. I have proof of it, I did a split just last week," Hostin joked at the time, recalling the injury. "However, then, my children challenged me last week, and I said, 'Of course I can do a split!' I now have a torn hamstring."

"I was warmed up, and I was actually going to do a split here and my husband is shaking his head," she continued, before cameras cut to Manny shaking his head in the audience of the show.
