Sydney Sweeney Leads Eerie 'Immaculate' Trailer

?feature=shared

After her current rom-com Anything But You and the imminent Madame Web, Sydney Sweeney is pivoting to her horror era, starring in Michael Mohan's latest psychological horror film Immaculate.

Sweeney stars as Cecilia, a nun residing in a romantic Italian convent – or so it seems. "God saved me for a reason, but I'm still searching for what that reason is," Cecilia opens, as the trailer slowly takes a sinister shift.

Just a few seconds later, Cecilia finds herself mid-sonogram. "It's a miracle – you are with child," the priest, played by Money Heist's Álvaro Morte, tells her.

"Out of all of the women in the world, why did he choose me?" Cecilia wonders, while her friend, The White Lotus' Simona Tabasco, poses a more frightening ask: "How can we trust what's inside of you?"

The short answer? It doesn't look like they can...

Immaculate also stars Benedetta Porcaroli and Dora Romano, and is slated to hit theaters everywhere on March 22, 2024.
