When it comes to award show after parties, Vanity Fair's Oscars get-down is the coolest of them all. The red carpet rivals the one for the main event, with celebrities pulling out all the stops when it comes to their fashion. Case in point: Sydney Sweeney, who used the opportunity to pay homage to an iconic look of Academy Awards past.

The actor and her stylist, Molly Dickson, called upon New York-based designer Marc Bouwer to bring back the champagne halter-neck gown he created for Angelina Jolie 20 years ago for the same awards show.

Though celebrities haven't been wearing necklaces as much lately, Sweeney stayed true to Jolie's original look with a layered diamond piece custom-made for her by French jewelry brand Messika.

Her elegant ode to the legendary actor (and, now, fashion designer) wasn't without a little twist: Unlike Jolie's half-up tresses, Sweeney wore hers in a sideswept, blonde bob.
