Taco Bell’s Beloved Baja Blast Has New Flavors On Shelves
The Bajaversary keeps getting better!
When you think about the best thing on the Taco Bell menu, it’s likely pretty hard to choose your favorite food. Your favorite drink, on the other hand, is probably an easy answer: Mountain Dew Baja Blast.
Baja Blast has been a fan-favorite for the 20 years it’s been on the Taco Bell menu. It's so beloved that Taco Bell has found a few different ways to serve it over the years—like the Baja Blast Freeze and Baja Blast Gelato, which is coming to restaurants nationwide this year.
Because 2024 marks the 20th anniversary of the Mountain Dew flavor, the brand is pulling out all the stops for the Bajaversary.
At the start of the year, Mountain Dew announced that Baja Blast and Zero Sugar Baja Blast would be available at grocery stores for the entire year—a welcome change for the usually limited-run product. The brand teased that the January news was only the beginning of the 20th-anniversary celebration—and, they weren't kidding.
The Baja Blast Gelato going coast to coast is part of the anniversary, but more in-store options are coming too—including two new Baja soda flavors and the return of Hard Mountain Dew's Baja line.
Mountain Dew's New Baja Flavors
Mountain Dew is rolling out new Baja Laguna Lemonade and Point Break Punch flavors now. The new sodas are currently hitting shelves, where they’re sold in 20-ounce bottles, 12-ounce 12-packs, and 12-ounce 28-packs.
Laguna Lemonade is a mango-lemonade flavor, while the Point Break Punch is a tropical punch flavor. The new sodas have a blast of flavor you know and love from Baja, but with new fruity flair.
The sodas are available for a limited time at retailers nationwide.
Hard Mountain Dew's Baja Blast Pack Is Back
In 2022, Mountain Dew launched its first-ever alcoholic beverage, Hard Mountain Dew, in four flavors—including Baja Blast. After its successful first year, the brand released a new multi-pack of just hard Baja Blast flavors in 2023. The alcoholic beverages have a 5% ABV and ring in at just 100 calories, with no caffeine or added sugars.
The Hard Mountain Dew Baja Blast Mix Pack includes the OG Hard Mountain Dew Baja Blast, plus Pineapple, Mango, and Punch flavors. Obviously, the 20th Bajaversary isn’t complete without the Hard Mountain Dew Baja Blast Mix Pack making its triumphant return.
The multi-pack is rolling out now and will be available for the rest of the year at retailers that sell Hard Mountain Dew. Currently, Hard Mountain Dew is only available in Arizona, Arkansas, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Las Vegas, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, and Wyoming—but the brand says it plans to expand availability soon.
All that Baja news in just one day? We can’t imagine what the rest of this Bajaversary year will bring—but we're looking forward to it all.
