Taco Bell and Tajin Are Collaborating on a New Limited-Time Menu

This is one flavorful partnership.

Taco Bell has been at the top of our minds lately thanks to the massive number of new menu items slated to arrive over the next few months. From empanadas to Baja Blast flavored gelato to a Taco Bell-ified Choco Taco, the chain has been busy creating new choices.

Now, the chain has yet another menu offering that’s perhaps one of the most exciting yet. Taco Bell officially announced a partnership with Tajín to release three new items. The catch is that the items are currently only being tested at one location in Irvine, Calif. through March 6. Our sincere hope is that Taco Bell listens to fans and rolls it out nationwide, ASAP.

If you don’t already know what Tajín is, it’s a Mexican seasoning blend that combines red chili spice with citrus, specifically, a blend of chiles de árbol, guajillo and pasilla; dehydrated lime, and sea salt. It’s not overly spicy, but it packs a flavorful punch. It’s often sprinkled over fresh fruits and vegetables, but it can be used in a variety of ways.

The new menu items at Taco Bell are Tajín Crunchy Tacos, Tajín Twists, and Tajín Strawberry Freeze. They’re available for a limited time—only while supplies last.

  • The tacos are made with a crunchy, Tajín-seasoned shell, seasoned beef, ranch sauce, lettuce, shredded cheddar cheese, and mango salsa.

  • The twists feature puffed corn twists sprinkled with the chili-lime seasoning.

  • Finally, the Tajín Strawberry Freeze is made with the Wild Strawberry Freeze as a base with mango pieces, Tajín Chamoy sauce, and more Tajín on the side so you can sprinkle as much as you personally want.

You can buy all three items as a combo meal for $6.99, but you can also purchase the items individually. The tacos will run you $2.89, the twists $1.29, and the beverage will cost you $3.59.

Here's hoping that if this collab is a big enough hit, we will be seeing it again—and at more locations. Comment on all the socials, Taco Bell is known to listen.
