The thrill of racing comes from the adrenaline of uncertainty – weather, strategy, tyre wear, fuel, or those closing in from behind. While precariousness is the hook, not everything automotive is so unpredictable.

Enter Tag Heuer, the kingpins of motorsport timekeeping, who prove that even amidst the unknown of racing, the evolution of a revitalised icon prevails: the Tag Heuer Carrera Day-Date.

Reimagined for modern automotive enthusiasts, an ensemble of six watches take to the track, emphasising durability and wearability.

You can opt for a sunray-brushed blue dial, a modernised smoky-red opaline, black opaline for the understated in both steel and 18k rose gold, a black grained dial model, enhanced by a red lacquered central hand and flecks of blue on the dial, rounded off by the Tag Heuer Carrera Date Twin-Time, which takes pole position in the collection.

Inspired by the racing livery of motorsport’s halcyon days, the Twin-Time teal blue iteration reveals a red-tipped GMT hand (a nod to Tag Heuer partisans who’ll recognise this reference from the Carrera GMT model) paired with rhodium-plated Arabic numerals, promising functionality across the globe.

The new Carrera Day-Date is powered by a TH31-02 movement, and the TH31-03 for the Twin Time, promising up to 80 hours of power reserve. Expect your typical high-end finishing from TAG Heuer, with an added level of craftsmanship, as the Swiss maestros have tweaked the bezel to achieve a slimmer build, resulting in a wider crystal opening to view the dial. Reimagined with a 3D vision, inspired by the Carrera Glassbox, it promises maximum legibility whether in the hail at Silverstone or the tropical heat of Singapore.

Don’t miss the Victory Wreath on the case back – a subtle nod to the Carrera’s automotive roots, where victors celebrated their win with a watch. A timepiece created to commemorate achievements, trackside or in everyday life, the new Carrera line-up cements the extraordinary spectacle that is life in the fast lane: the pinnacle of human boldness. Foot on the throttle, strap on the wrist.
