TAG Heuer Announces Five Formula One Watches TAG Heuer

A few weeks ago, TAG Heuer had an accelerated start to the year by dropping three Instagram posts titled ‘We Are Back’. In 2024, a few racing-related watches sparked suspicions of what was to come. This proved it: the Swiss watchmaker returns as Formula One’s official timekeeper.

Having already done the role from 1992 to 2003, and with an already lauded motor racing history, it’s a natural fit. And to continue momentum, TAG has announced five new watches will be added to the Formula One collection as part of LVMH Watch Week.

First launched in 1986, the piece become an instant hit with horology and F1 fans alike, applying Swiss craftsmanship to a colourful wristwatch that captured the spirit of the sport. Now nearly forty years later, four new colourways are being added, as well as a watch made with its long-term partner, Oracle Red Bull Racing.

Grounding the collection are four chronographs, all featuring design elements that can be pinned back to the famed automobile. The colours take inspiration from Grand Prix’s held at night; vivid hues found along the racetrack are set against a dark case, that reflects the aerodynamic lines of F1 cars with the signature shape evoking its nose. While the bezel, with its micro- perforations, subtly references the brake discs on the fastest machines on the planet.

A special edition automatic chronograph has been designed with Oracle Red Bull Racing, a partnership that started in 2016. The ninth timepiece to have come out of this coalition honours the racing team to the highest precision; the exact same Pantone hues that form the team colours have been relayed onto the watch for pure authenticity. You’ll find F1’s famed check, Tag Heuer’s and ORBR’s logos engraved onto the caseback.

These 44mm watches are powered by a calibre 16 movement, ensuring accuracy whether you're timing your travel in a race car or not.

The TAG Heuer Formula 1 Chronograph collection is available from March 2025.
