The Balmain army was out in full force on Thursday night to celebrate the opening of its Flagship Los Angeles boutique, as well as the release of a collaboration with Beats By Dre.
The actress was at the Cannes Film Festival L’Oréal Paris party to celebrate Balmain’s Olivier Rousteing and his new lipstick collection for L’Oréal.
What better way to celebrate Fashion Week than with a shoot featuring a global icon in an assemblage of outré looks by the world’s best designers? We called in the best, most fashion-forward pieces of the spring 2016 season, and designers Rick Owens, Balmain, Marc Jacobs, Stella McCartney, Jeremy Scott, and Sonia Rykiel all heeded our call. Check out the slideshow to see the exclusive looks.
Especially when the models in question are Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford and Claudia Schiffer – and they’ve joined forces to star in a new campaign for brand-of-the-moment Balmain. The legendary trio has teamed up to star in Olivier Rousteing’s spring/summer ’16 snapshots, some which even star the French fashion house’s creative director himself. Shot by Steven Klein, the photos show that each of the three women have only got better with age.
The official campaign images for Balmain’s collaboration with H&M were released this week in all their glitter glory. There are embellished dresses, satin drop crotch pants, beaded blazers, and so much more. Designer Olivier Rousteing is really looking forward to delivering a collection at a lower price point to some of his biggest fans, and has worked hard to take pieces that have made him popular with the Kardashian-Jenners and his army of famous friends, and translated them in a more affordable way. "The allover beaded dress comes from my very first Balmain collection, so it’s like I’m literally giving to H&M the beginning of my story,” the 30-year-old Frenchman told Vogue.
Kris Jenner is in the house y’all! Photo: You never know which celebrity will pop up in which front row during Paris Fashion Week—except for one. Kris Jenner’s a given at Balmain, especially now that daughters Kylie and Kendall are two of the faces featured in the brand’s latest campaign, and the latter is guaranteed to walk its runway. Post-show, the matriarch gushed. “My favorite pieces have to be the ones that Kendall wore,” she told Yahoo Style. “Gigi and Bella looked beautiful.” (Shocker!) But it was designer Olivier Rousteing who really had something to say about his SS16 collection.
During New York Fashion Week, Gigi Hadid waltzed into the Harper’s Bazaar ICONS party wearing a spangly black minidress. While it would have been safe to assume that the megamodel would be wearing a haute couture piece to such a lavish affair, this was not the case. By the time Hadid’s well-heeled foot had stepped into the Plaza Hotel, Balmain designer Olivier Rousteing had proudly posted multiple Instagrams announcing that the look was from his highly anticipated limited-edition collaboration with H&M. Well, one week on and we’re thatmuchcloser to the worldwide release of the collection on November 5.

Photo: Getty Images Balmain’s collaboration with H&M has yet to hit stores, yet it’s most likely already on every woman’s wishlist between the ages of 14 and 40. How has Olivier Rousteing whet the sartorial palates of so many months before the line’s release and with only a few of the pieces having been revealed? Simple: call on the hottest fashion girls around, make them walk a red carpet in it, have their photo taken in the dress, which is then subsequently shared around the world.

We’ve said it once and we’ll say it again: North West is one trendy tot . And as of Wednesday night, it’s safe to say she’s joined her mom, aunt Kylie, the Hadid sisters, andeven Meryl Streep in the “Balmain army.” Case in point: Kim Kardashian shared a picture on Instagram of not one, not two, butthree custom baby Balmain jackets designer Olivier Rousteing made for Kimye’s kin.She posted : “I’m so honored that Northie is your little muse!
Photos: Kris Jenner’s like a lost little lamb who just can’t find her own sense of style. Despite being a trailblazer in the management world (she basically created the non-career), when it comes to fashion she’s a follower.
Designers, they’re just like us! In a new promo video for the Balmain x H&M collection, the French label’s creative director Olivier Rousteing admits that he shopped at the mega retailer like an everyday Joe. “I’m an H&M boy,“ he says. “I am the H&M generation. I was getting the clothes from H&M, waiting two or three hours to get the clothes, so I know the excitement that can happen to the people in the world.” The 29-year-old baby faced designer, who is BFFs with the Kardashians and regularly sends custom clothes to North West, is excited that this collaboration is representative of all people, a key component to his own line. “Balmain is a real luxury brand, and really inclusive of pushing the concept of diversity and communicating with the world.
To say that Olivier Rousteing had a big night on Sunday would be an understatement. The designer, whose own fame has taken off in the past year, dressed everyone from Taylor Swift to Chrissy Teigen for the 2015 Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas. In lieu of a press release, Rousteing took to the red carpet flanked by models Kendall Jenner and Jourdann Dunn.
Photo: Splash Well that was fast. Kim Kardashian only dyed her hair platinum blond a few weeks ago and now she’s already back to being a brunette. While the toddler was girly in a pink ballet outfit, Kardashian paired her black workout gear with Yeezy Boost Adidas sneakers designed by her husband Kanye West. But while the radical hair change didn’t last long, it’s been photographed for posterity and put on the cover of a magazine. The reality star, who was recently in France for Paris Fashion Week where she debuted her new ‘do to the world, obviously took some time out from sitting front row to pose for the country’s version of Elle. Styled by Hortense Manga and shot by Jan Welters, Mrs. West wears Balmain from the Spring/Summer 2015 collection. In a black bandeau top and high-waisted (and high-fashion) granny panties, she covers up with a structural oversized sleeveless blazer. It’s only fitting that she’s dressed in head-to-toe Balmain, seeing as the centerfold features more photos of the blonde bombshell accompanied by the brand’s hot young designer Olivier Rousteing. Not only does Kardashian serve as a style inspiration for Rousteing, he also admires her in a variety of other ways. “I think Kim is one of the most impressive business women I’ve ever met.
Olivier Rousteing, the famously young designer of Balmain and BFF to Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, Rihanna, and everyone else who is way too cool for school, graces the cover of French magazine Têtu this month. While he designs sexy rock and roll looks for the iconic French brand—think shoulder pads, jumpsuits, and lace-up leather—he wears, well, absolutely nothing on his first cover.
