Customer Experience Associate
Part-time, 2 days/week

$20/ hr + clothing allowance
Tamara Malas is a designer fashion brand founded in 2018. Tamara Malas pieces are made ethically and responsibly and most important: inclusive of all sizing (size range 0-36). We are looking for fun people with a creative sensibility who believe that fashion + inclusivity go hand in hand and want to contribute to our awesome community. As the first flagship store for Tamara Malas, we plan to carry an artful and unique selection of other inclusive sized clothing as well as jewelry, fragrances, accessories, and housewares. Looking for a commitment of 2 days per week. We are a small business, so this role will require flexibility and some availability on the weekends. We are not hiring for any senior positions at this time.
Responsibilities
● Promptly and warmly greet guests as they enter the store.
● Learn + maintain a thorough understanding/knowledge of Tamara Malas pieces including additional store inventory
● Answer customer questions, articulate relevant information when needed
● Maintain professionalism
● Exhibit exceptional communication skills and be able to speak confidently and clearly about the brand
● Help to create a welcoming and inclusive environment…we’re trying to bring a more positive experience to shopping for clothes
● Interest in styling and willingness to make recommendations for customers
● Shipping and receiving packages
● Assist with creating content for the store
● Tagging & updating inventory
● Restocking items to floor from back stock & fitting room in a timely manner
● Unpack and steam merchandise
● Maintain/general upkeep and light cleaning of the store
What You’ll Bring
● 1+ years of fashion retail, gallery, or community experience
● Strong administrative skills including: working directly with staff, guests, and customers, as well as daily communication with designer/store owner
● A friendly and positive attitude
● Interest in working with people of all backgrounds
● Experience with Shopify POS is preferred but not required
● A sense of humor + good taste :)
