Taylor Swift Does ‘Reputation’-core in Leather Boots and an LBD for Dinner With Greta Gerwig

When she’s not onstage in front of thousands of people, Taylor Swift is home in New York City, reuniting with her closest celebrity pals.

On Monday night, the pop star was spotted grabbing dinner at Il Buco Alimentari with part of her squad: Barbie director Greta Gerwig and actors Zoë Kravitz and Laura Dern.

For the occasion, Tay chose a slinky little black dress, which she styled with a cozy brown checkered coat and black leather knee-high heeled boots. She accessorized with a black leather handbag and dainty gold and diamond jewelry, including a necklace, drop earrings, and a diamond stud. The “Look What You Made Me Do” singer also pulled her hair into a ballerina bun with loose bangs and went for her signature red lip and inky cat eye for her makeup lewk.

(Taylor has been on an LBD style streak since the VMAs, which has prompted fans to believe that she’s getting ready to announce the release of the “Taylor’s Version” of her 2017 album Reputation.)

For the girls’ night, Zoë wore a sleek grayish trench coat, a white tank, black flared pants, and brown shoes paired with red socks. She accessorized the casual ’fit with a black baseball cap and a slouchy beige tote.

Laura, for her part, looked colorful in a cherry-red sweater, black wide-leg pants, a blue denim jacket, and white sneakers. While we didn’t realize until now that the actor was part of Tay’s squad, she *did* famously appear in the singer’s music video for “Bejeweled,” playing the role of the evil stepmother to Taylor’s Cinderella. Soooo, yah, it kinda makes sense that they bonded!

Greta, meanwhile, was outfitted in an airy black dress for the star-studded dinner and added pops of color with a pair of electric-blue loafers and a Barbie-pink crossbody bag by Gucci. The director-singer pairing, in particular, sent literal shock waves throughout the internet and even prompted speculation that a potential collab could be in the works:
