Taylor Swift Fans Are Convinced Travis Kelce Wore an Easter Egg for ‘The Tortured Poets Department’
Travis Kelce drew attention earlier this week for wearing friendship bracelets that paid tribute to Taylor Swift at his brother Jason Kelce’s retirement press conference. Fans have noticed there might have been another big nod to Swift—and an Easter egg—in his outfit that most people initially missed.
Fans noted that Kelce’s top had the colors of her The Tortured Poets Department cover art. Kelce spoke before about having listened to part of the album. “I have heard some of it,” the Kansas City Chiefs player said at the Super Bowl press conference last month. “It is unbelievable. I can’t wait for her to shake up the world when it finally drops.”
Here are all the covers Swift has shared for her upcoming album:
Notice how Kelce’s tops—and bracelets, even—have those gray tones in them:
Kelce is reportedly traveling to see Swift perform in Singapore. TMZ reported that he and his manager were supposed to leave yesterday. They spent the evening of March 5 in Cleveland, Ohio. If they left from there for Singapore, the flight would be over 19 hours.
Swift is playing in Singapore through the weekend.
Kelce opened up on the episode of New Heights released yesterday about his experience going to Sydney to see Swift last month. There’s “a lot of false media [about my life], but I’ll tell you what wasn’t false: When I landed in Australia and seeing all the cameras,” he said.
When he and Swift went to the Sydney Zoo, “there were full-on helicopters just flying around,” he recalled. “Yeah, they helicopter’ed us—well not us, Taylor. This is all because Taylor is the biggest and the best thing possible.”
