Taylor Swift Goes Full 2014 Tumblr Girl With Latest Reputation 'Fit

After a short break, Taylor Swift is back to serving Reputation.

On December 21, the 24-year-old pop star got papped in Greenwich Village wearing a ‘fit that perfectly merges her New England prep aesthetic with sartorial nods toward her upcoming Reputation re-recording. Though miniskirts and thigh-high boots paired with blazers and turtlenecks have done the trick so far, this all-black look is the most seamless blend of the two seemingly opposing styles yet.

As you can see below, Taylor Swift paired a plain pleated miniskirt with a white shearling-trimmed bomber jacket and a small leather bag by Manu Atelier. The biggest difference between this look and her previous fits, however, is not the monochrome styling, but the shoes. Instead of going for another pair of killer boots, Swift opted for a chunky heeled loafer that evokes college professor without sacrificing the femme-fatale effect of leather thigh-highs. Eat your heart out, 2014 Tumblr.

We've seen Taylor Swift rock heeled loafers in many iterations over the years—including a recent outing with Eras Tour opener Gracie Abrams. Back in November, she styled reddish brown versions of the Oxfords with a white dress, navy coat, and olive green cross-body.

While the snakeskin pattern of the loafers subtly channels Reputation, her latest outfit turns the volume way up. As Swift recently stated, the album is so much more than “sick snakes and strobe lights.”

“It’s a goth-punk moment of female rage at being gaslit by an entire social structure,” she told the magazine of the album," Swift said during her Time ‘Person of the Year’ interview, promising the vault tracks on the re-recording will be “fire.” It's unclear how long we'll have to wait to hear those unreleased songs, but I'll personally enjoy watching Swift channel those vibes through her wardrobe until then.
