Taylor Swift Just Wore My Go-To Fall Layering Staple — and It’s Selling Out Fast

It’s from a brand she can’t stop wearing.

There are some key differences between me and Taylor Swift. For starters, she’s a mega popstar who sells out stadiums across the globe. Not to mention, she’s currently dating one of football’s biggest names. But all that aside, we share some similarities: We both live in NYC (Welcome to New York, anyone?), have our fair share of purring cats, and stock up on style essentials from the same fashion-forward label. The brand in question? None other than Reformation.

Swift has worn the brand on countless occasions, donning its cashmere polo sweater, velvet lace dress and penny loafer pumps before. But this time, she paired two Reformation closet staples in one outfit.

Celebrating the success of her song Cruel Summer, Swift posted an Instagram carousel alongside Jack Antonoff. The singer can be seen wearing Reformation’s Winston blazer in toffee plaid layered over the brand’s Jadey V-Neck sweater in dachshund. She styled the pieces with a pair of button-up trousers and a corduroy baseball cap.

It came as no surprise that Swift opted for a blazer; she’s worn the autumn style on countless occasions — even to the All Too Well movie premiere. But this specific $298 version sets itself apart thanks to its relaxed fit, double-breasted front, large lapels, and plaid, woven fabric. It screams Folklore, and I need it badly.

Sure, I partly want this jacket because of the Swift effect, but also because blazers are my go-to for fall layering. I like to throw similar versions over fitted, long-sleeve shirts and poplin button-ups; add some denim and finish off the look with knee-high riding boots. Unfortunately,  Swift’s exact color is out of stock, but you can still lock in the style in different hues.

But guess what? Swift’s Jadey V-neck sweater is still available in the exact color she wore — but I doubt for long. Made from a blend of cotton, cashmere, and wool, this top is cozy and oh so comfortable, especially when it offers a spacious fit and drop shoulders.

One of my favorite sweaters — and I own a lot — comes from Reformation. I can attest to the brand’s quality; its knit tops are made to last. Choose from four colors and wear it with leggings and socks for a snuggly night in or dress it up with trousers and penny loafers.

When Swift wears anything, it sells out fast, so if you want to get your hands on these two Reformation finds, I’d snag them quick. Just in case they sell out — er, when they sell out — you can shop the below lookalikes for less.
