Taylor Swift has been a Grease fangirl her whole life. And now, we have definitive proof. On Thursday, photos of a young Swift starring as Sandy Olsson—played in the film by Olivia Newton-John—in a local production of the musical resurfaced on Instagram. The blast from the past came courtesy of actor and comedian Tobin Mitnick, a childhood friend who apparently starred opposite the pop star as her character’s love interest, Danny Zuko.

“Thank you mom for digging these pics of @taylorswift and I harmonizing like buttah on summer nights twenty five years ago out of storage,” Mitnick captioned the throwback photo dump.

In a nod to Swift’s present-day jock boyfriend Travis Kelce, Mitnik ended the post by joking, “Also trav the note is an f-sharp if youre interested. June 2000.”

The carousel includes images of little Swift in her street clothes as well as in her strapless black Sandy costume and curly blonde wig.

It’s not the first time we’ve seen Taylor Swift show some love to the popular musical. Memorably, longtime gal pal Gigi Hadid shared a video of Swift singing along to Fox’s Grease: Live telecast from her couch in 2016. In the clip Swift could be heard duetting Vanessa Hudgens’s rendition of “Hopelessly DevotedtTo You” while Hadid sat nearby mouthing the lyrics.

Perhaps when the Eras Tour finally wraps up in December 2024, Swift will set her sights on a Broadway stint next? One can only hope.
