Tessa Virtue and Morgan Rielly ace Halloween in 'Beetlejuice' couples costume: 'If you didn’t win best costume, we riot'

The Olympic ice dancer and Maple Leafs player partied alongside Auston Matthews and Max Domi at the Halloween bash.

Tessa Virtue pulled out all the stops for the Toronto Maple Leafs Halloween party. On Wednesday, the Olympic ice dancer shared photos of her elaborate couples costume with husband Morgan Rielly. Virtue went all out as Beetlejuice’s Lydia Deetz in a red wedding dress complete with veil and bouquet of black flowers, while Rielly channelled the troublesome ghost in a maroon suit and untamed wig.

Virtue shared photos of the couple enjoying themselves at the Maple Leafs Halloween bash at the Red Bull Gaming Studio in Toronto. She also shared a group photo of attendees decked out for the holiday.

“Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice,” Virtue captioned her Instagram post. “P.S. What if I told you I walked into Whyte Couture with a Spirit Halloween costume and walked out an hour later with that Lydia look.”

The costumes earned praise from follower’s who couldn’t get enough of Virtue’s transformation.

“What fabulous costumes,” one follower wrote. “You both look amazing.”

“If you didn’t win best costume, we riot,” another said.

“Hands down one of the best costumes I’ve seen this year.”

While this year's costume takes the cake, Virtue has been known for going full throttle at Halloween. In 2022, she dressed as a lion while running errands in a video for Buick and in 2021, she dressed a chicken (complete with feathers) alongside Reilly who dressed as a chef.

Virtue and Rielly weren't the only ones who attended the Maple Leafs Halloween party dressed to the nines. Auston Matthews went incognito in a Darth Vader costume complete with lightsaber while Max Domi and girlfriend Estelle Phillips poked fun at his missing chiclets with their tooth fairy couples costume.

The Maple Leafs party was a night out for Virtue and Rielly. The new parents welcomed son McCormick Rielly earlier this year. Although the couple have kept details of parenthood private, they've shared glimpses into their life as a family of three on social media.
