The 33-year-old retired figure skater took to Instagram on Saturday to share a few photos of herself enjoying a sunny, bright blue beach day with her dog, Zoë. The five-time Olympic medallist showed off her figure in a bright purple one-piece ribbed swimsuit, along with a white adidas hat and a pair of sunglasses.

"Beach bums," the London, Ont.-native captioned the post, adding an emoji featuring a beach umbrella and sand.

Fans filled the Canadian Olympian's post with love and appreciation for Virtue's beauty and the gorgeous summer beach.

"Prettiest colour. Looks so good on you," someone replied, while adding a purple heart emoji.

"Purple looks so cute on you," another person raved.

"Girls just want to have sun!" a fan commented.

"Zoë looks like she’s having the time of her life," added another.

"Glad to see you all enjoying time at your favourite place! And Zoë is the cutest!" someone said.

"All we sometimes need is a wonderful weekend, surrounded by amazing people, full of unforgettable moments," one person responded.

Virtue, who has competed in three Olympics with ice dance partner Scott Moir, spoke to Canadian Living about her various wellness secrets. After being named Nivea's first-ever Canadian ambassador, Virtue dished on how she recovers and handles self-care.

"I love lighting candles, putting Epsom salts in the bathtub, putting on a 'chill' playlist and soaking; it's a great way to decompress, unwind and let my mind calm down," Virtue said. "I also like to do a digital detox. We are all so accessible on our devices all the time. It's important to take moments to be present and mindful."

Virtue also made note of her thoughts on beauty and empowerment.

"To me, beauty is all about how you feel in your skin and how you present yourself to the world. That stems from confidence, as well as knowing who you are and what you stand for," she shared. "Being sure about what you want — and going after it fearlessly — is all intermingled with skincare, beauty and fashion."
