Tezza Barton is looking forward to a relaxed Mother’s Day.

“It’s the simple things for me,” she tells PEOPLE. “Waking up and cooking breakfast as a family, listening to music, playing games in the backyard, going on a long walk picking out our favorite flowers down the street.”

The influencer and founder of the popular photo app Tezza (a spin on her real name, Tessa) has been plenty busy between running her business and running around chasing her two-year-old daughter, Coco Rose. In March 2024, Barton and her husband and business partner, Cole Herrmann, announced they are expecting their second child.

As the entrepreneur prepares to become a mom of two, she’s teamed up with Brilliant Earth to curate her dream Mother’s Day edit from the ethically sourced fine jewelry brand. While she has trouble singling out a favorite piece, Barton says that her everyday staple is the 18K Yellow Gold Riviera Eternity Diamond Ring.

“I love stacking it with other rings and without a doubt get compliments every time I wear it,” she says.

The founder adds that the Mama Diamond Pendant Necklace is on her Mother’s Day wishlist (it’s also included in her Brilliant Earth edit).

“It’s so beautiful and such a reminder of this time in life,” she says. “Something I hope to pass on to my daughter one day.”

The collection also features the Sol Starburst Diamond Bracelet, Toi Et Moi Lab Emerald and White Topaz Cocktail Ring, Lab Diamond Tennis Earrings and Diamond Tennis Necklace.

For Barton, jewelry pieces are more than just accessories; they’re personal tokens that can be passed down from generation to generation.

“I have a silver and amber set of jewelry that belonged to my grandmother from the 80’s,” she says of her personal collection. “She was tall like me, bold, charismatic and daring when it came to fashion and is where I pulled a lot of my early inspiration from. Something that I hope to pass on to my children as a reminder of my grandmother's influence in my life.”

Barton rose to internet fame with the launch of her photo editing app Tezza in 2018. The app is hugely popular with influencers — this month, countless creators at Coachella have utilized Tezza to share content from the festival.

“My goal as an artist myself was to help everyone discover their inner creative, because I really do believe everyone is!” she says of the app’s ubiquity. “To see Tezza be such a staple in people’s creative process or have unlocked their inner artist is, for me, my ultimate goal.”

Barton adds that the company launched TezzaCam, “an in-app camera feature that brings the nostalgia of vintage photography to the modern era and the response has been incredible.”

Between brand launches and her growing family, the founder says that “time is moving too quickly.”

“Having a child has changed my entire world,” she reflects, noting that she’s feeling “grateful and excited” in her second pregnancy. “I am reminded that the small things are the most exciting, I feel reconnected to my inner child. Having a second on the way feels like the biggest gift, I cannot wait.”

Pregnancy has also been an opportunity for Barton to flex her creative muscles in the form of maternity style. In this stage of life, her main focus is to “feel like myself,” which means self-expression is equally as important as comfort.

“Style is such a creative outlet for me, a way of feeling confident and exploring different parts of myself,” she explains. “So while, yes, comfort is important, I still like to feel sexy or unique, owning my feminine energy. The bump is the most beautiful thing to experience watching your body grow and knowing exactly what to do. I enjoy showing it off, wearing things that emphasize its beauty and remind me of the life growing inside of me.”
