This 'space-saving' Amazon walking pad is the best purchase I made for 2025 — here's why I love it

Winter no longer stops me from getting my steps in, thanks to this "efficient" walking pad.

If you've been thinking of investing in a walking pad, I'm here to help. I was in the market for a walking pad and after much research, I decided to opt for the Goplus 2-in-1 Folding Treadmill from Amazon Canada. All I have to say is: total game-changer.

For less than $400, it has made staying active a breeze (without braving the cold winter winds), which is priceless, in my opinion. I use it nearly every day, often while simultaneously catching up on YouTube or Netflix, and it's been super convenient. Sound like a good fit for you? Keep scrolling for a deeper dive into its pros and cons and to see what reviewers are saying.

This folding treadmill is a versatile, space-saving option for both walking and running. It offers various speed options that can cater to both a gentle walking pace and a faster running speed, maximizing versatility

The treadmill boasts a quiet motor, a non-slip belt and an LED display that tracks your time, speed and calories. It also features Bluetooth speakers, a phone holder, a remote control and a correlating app.

There's much to love about this treadmill, starting with how compact and portable it is. I keep it upstairs in a bedroom, and it's so convenient to hop on for a quick workout. Setting it up was a breeze, and the quiet motor was a relief since I was worried it would be loud and annoying.

It has great speed options that allow me to go from brisk walks to light jogs. It's been a game-changer for getting my daily steps in. And the non-slip belt and foldable arms add a nice safety touch, especially because I always have a fear of falling off (just me?).

Plus, I love using the phone holder to prop up my iPad and watch shows — it helps the time fly by!

I haven't uncovered any major downsides to this walking pad after owning it for about two months, but there are a few small things worth mentioning. First and foremost, there is no incline option, and while it makes sense being a compact treadmill, it is a con for me. To amp up my workout, I'll add weights like this Reebok Delta Flex Wrist-Ankle Weight Set.

Another thing that's a minor bummer but not a big deal is that the remote control doesn't come with a battery. Thankfully, the app can be used to control the machine, which is actually super handy.

Next up: The width is a bit narrow, which is great for saving space but limits your walking room. And lastly, the calorie tracker isn't very accurate. How do I know? Well, it doesn't match my Apple Watch stats.

With more than 10,000 ratings (6,000+ of them being five-star), it's safe to say I'm not the only one pleased with this folding treadmill.

"The treadmill runs very quietly," shares one shopper. They also added, "The slim profile makes it easy to store." While they had mostly positive things to say, they did note that if you're looking to do some "intense running," then "this might not be ideal."

"This is definitely great value for the money," writes another reviewer. They are "impressed" with how "space-saving" it is, as well as it being "very sturdy" and "easy to set up."

Someone else said it has "very nice absorption" and confirmed it's "absolutely perfect for walking and light running." However, they did say, "The running bed is a little short."

If you're in the market for a walking pad that you'll actually use, I definitely recommend the Goplus 2-in-1 Folding Treadmill. It has totally improved my fitness routine, and I have zero regrets. It's convenient, quiet and compact and helps me achieve my daily goals. However, if you're looking for something you can do some intense running on (or something with an incline), I'd look elsewhere — this one is more for brisk walks and light jogs.
